Brittany Farr- Owner, Esthetician
Meet Brittany. She is a wife and mother of three beautiful children, one of which is the namesake of Jovie C. She is a graduate of the Aveda Institute in Charlotte, NC and has been in the beauty industry for just over 9 years. She performs customized relaxing facials, waxing, spray tanning and lash extensions. Waxing is her specialty, specifically brows and brazilians (her fave and best known for) and also loves doing lash extensions!

Her favorite way to spend time away from her career is with her husband and children, going on day trips, driving with her windows down and radio up, reading, and watching reruns of old TV shows.
Lyle Wilson- Salon Manager, Lead Stylist, Salon Educator
Meet Lyle. A Gaston County native, He has been in the industry for 9 years and graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Gastonia, NC. He began his career as an associate with Modern Salon in Charlotte. After having been in the field for a while, he returned to Paul Mitchell where he earned his educator license and began teaching the craft he loved. He now is back behind a chair and making art out of hair. Lyle is proud to have also been active behind the scenes of multiple film sets, including creating the braids for Katniss in “The Hunger Games” and in the hair department for the film “When We Last Spoke”. He prefers giving new life to hair right here at home. His specialty is cutting, coloring, and polished blow outs. He has a passion for sharing his brand— The Lyle Wilson Experience!!

In his free time, he enjoys sports, spending time with family, and traveling.
James Summey- Lead Artist
Meet James. Having grown up in the industry, he is a second generation artist with 20 years of active experience. He is passionate about and excels in hair cutting techniques for both men and women. Education has always been a top priority for James. Along side his expertise in this industry, he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in 19th Century American Literature, religion, and music from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. He has recently furthered his love of education by becoming a licensed cosmetology instructor for Gaston College.

When he isn’t teaching or creating behind the chair, James enjoys spending time with his family, his two dogs, and searching for rare Star Wars items to add to his collection.
Katherine Doctor- Protege Artist, Assistant to Salon Educator
Meet “Kat”. She has been in the industry for almost 4 years. As a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School Gastonia, her passion for knowledge led her to become a licensed educator as well. She found joy in inspiring cosmetology students to dream big and work harder to become the best stylists they could be. Kat LOVES and specializes in blonding services, specifically balayage, foilayage, and traditional foiling techniques.
